Engineering is designing the physical systems involved for a
business to function. For example in any business when a
order is received there are a number of separate steps that
would need to be followed in order to fulfil the order.
There are many processes which over time will have evolved and
interlink with other processes within your business. As a
business grows processes sometimes are changed in order to
accommodate new areas of the business and other cases a process
remains the same purely because it has always be done that way
within your business. By studying these process from an
external view point, many savings can often be made in terms of
human resources, reduction of errors and improved service to
your customers.
